Frying Fish

This time, I want to share you guys the most difficult dish I have ever made. That is frying fish. Last Sunday, my grandma brought back two fish. As soon as I saw them, I decided to challenge myself. I asked my grandma to let me have a try—frying fish on my own. I never did it before because I was afraid of being splashed by the oil, but this time, I thought I was old enough to do this tough work!

In the beginning, all things went well; however, when it was time to turn the fish upside down, I had a hard time doing this movement.  The fish was out of control, keeping flipping away, and the water inside the fish resulted in oil splash. Therefore, my hands and arms continued being "attacked" by the oil.
It was so hurt that I couldn’t help screaming, but I didn’t give up! Finally, I finished the tough work! I thought the result was better than I had expected, and I really enjoyed the moment I “fought” with the two fish! :D

  1. Hi Krystal~ I have never fried fish before. It seems that the hot oil is very hard to handle. Maybe you can wrap your arms with gloves or something else before doing that next time, in case the oil hurt your skin! You are such a nice chef that you did all the cooking steps by yourself.  I believe in the future your cooking skill will keep progressing!! Good luck for mid-term exam!!

  2. Though you said that this dish was the most difficult you have ever made, I think that you really did a great job. :D Cooking fish is very difficult, but it is also a road you must pass through to become a good chef. As for me, I think the fish would no more be looked like "fish" after my poor cooking skills. XD It seems that you really "beat" the fish! I think that what you cook next time may also make me hungry like this time . :P

  3. Hi~
I just ate my dinner, but I got hungry again because of your frying fish. :D
Every time I helped my mom cook, I was fearful of sautéing the fish the most! As you pointed out, being splashed by the oil is so unbearable. However, an experienced cook like my grandma doesn’t afraid of oil at all. You both are amazing because I can’t help running away when the fish is splashing the oil! I’m looking forward to your next post, telling me your new recipe!
